Ante and Slavka Krsinich bring their daughter, Kathy, over to Dida Nikola’s home in West Oakland. This was about when I was 10 months old (as determined from looking through dad’s notes) so that would put this movie around January/February 1950.
Baby Kathy was some months younger than me and, as the old family story goes, was put in a crib with me and I promptly hit her over the head with a rattle. I teased her about that years later, saying she “was the first girl I went to bed with,” then adding, “my technique hasn’t improved all that much since then.”
